With a strike of the pen

you engraved into my heart

with beauty and desire

your name and my calling.

 

Your seeking eyes

commanded me

to share my soul

with gentle persuasion.

 

Your voice,

so soft and wooing

renders me hopeless

whilst we part.

 

Your memory

lingers

long

after our ways have parted.
