Verses Of Anguish And Angst

Where is it written that a poet should
Pretend that anguish has done someone good
And needs to be proclaimed in lines of verse;
The basis of which is to good reverse
And bad announce has been misunderstood?

Enjoying pain is something has a name
Like sadism reversed, of minor fame,
And words about ill, 'stead of curing it,
Is sickness welcomed, near inuring it,
With all the reasoning becomes the lame.
